Aquarius 2012

The 60’s Psychedelic Dance-Vibe Experience, is a theatrical interactive Guided Dance
Party Event at The Inn at Reading – to benefit Breast Cancer Support Services- on Saturday, April 21, 2012. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the interactive performance/dance event begins at 8:00 PM. This is the second of four Goddess Rock – Aquarius 2012 – 60’s Psychedelic Dance-Vibe Experiences to take place in the New Year. Others to follow will be on September 21 and will culminate on December 21, 2012, which is the actual dawning of the Age of Aquarius.

This is a far-out flashback to a moment in time that celebrates the Flower Power Generation! It’s a groovy Happening that transports you back to that far-out, flipped-out time of the Summer of Love, Be In’s and Love In’s. This is a 60’s Discothèque Dance Party that is the Electric Psychedelic Pussycat Swingers Club of Berks County! It’s a sock-it-to-me night of dancing, cool 60’s music, trippy lights, Go-Go Goddesses, and Goddess Rock Martinis… It’s literally, like stepping into the middle of a funky scene in an Austin Power’s movie. This is a very groovy event “Yeah Baby”!

Goddess Rock, Aquarius 2012 has several talented dancers that are the evening’s “Goddesses”. The girls will be perched up on platforms, similar to the Go Go Dancers of the 1960’s Mod Discothèque’s or from the party scenes in the popular 60’s variety show, Laugh In! Having experienced our January evening of Aquarius 2012, goddess Georganne shares, “I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity to be part of Aquarius 2012 ! it was awesome ! I was filled with joy and my heart was bursting with love for everybody as I looked at the crowd I saw freedom as we danced to music that was the background of our lives. It truly was a magical happening!”

The Goddesses, (Five talented local dancers) will perform their own unique routines for the guests/audience and will also do free-form improvisational Yoga-dance, along with providing guided interactive dance movement for all the guests. The event is being choreographed by Lead Goddess, Cookie Long.

The event is the brainchild of Justin Bortz of Justin Bortz Jewelers and is being presented by Justin Bortz Jewelers – Midnight Swan Designs, Entourage Entertainment, Interlace Communications and Production Solutions, Inc. 10% of the ticket price will go to Breast Cancer Support Services, and the event is in partnership with the HeartCaring foundation of St. Joseph’s Medical Center.

The Inn at Reading will provide free beer, as well as a full cash bar, featuring The Goddess Rock Martini! They will also be providing lite munchies and more substantial food for sale. There will also be a silent auction of items from West Reading Merchants proceeds to benefit Breast Cancer Support Services.
